Describe
the situation…
- What was the task at hand…
- What action did you take….
- Finally, what were the results of your action…
1. Multiple
times, whilst at work during the busy holiday season, everyone was quite busy
and had multiple things to do. What kept us afloat was our ability to work as a
team and help each other out, and not get overly stressed, which doesn’t solve
anything. Everything in the restaurant has a time efficiency standard, and
rules that we are supposed to abide by. With both helping my fellow coworkers
and being helped as I needed, I was able to both multi task and keep the
efficiency of our ‘Claim Jumper team’. I was able to keep an upbeat attitude
even during hectic times, and had the benefit of profiting from such. What
happened was we were able to keep our customers happy with good food, good
timing, and great service! Isn’t what everyone goes out to eat for, anyway?
2. I
have always been an ‘oversized’ person who was picked on a great deal as a kid.
It was an extreme hardship that I had to face and overcome. The task for me was
to learn new healthy eating habits and to lose weight and to become comfortable
with myself so that the teasing would both stop and so it wouldn’t bother me
anymore. Through much dedication and hard work, I was able to push myself to
lose weight and become more comfortable with myself, and even confident. It was
quite amazing how much better I felt about myself and about the world around
me.
3. I
had a goal a few months ago to lose some weight and to get back into shape
after I had become lazy with my eating and exercise habits. Through much trial
and tribulation, I was able to lose 35 pounds in 4 months. I did it through
daily exercise and tracking my calories. After doing this I felt better about
myself and realized that I could do anything I set my mind to.
